为团结国内各个开源站点，改善国内现有协同平台功能不全等问题。社区联盟( http://oss.zjlinux.gov.cn )特推出指定协同开发系统"forge"( http://www.cnforge.org )。本平台目前支持邮件列表，CVS或者SVN代码管理，论坛等功能。由社区联盟站点的各个技术高手共同参与开发维护。为"forge"系统自身的功能扩展和日常维护带来一定的保障。

7月11日，forge正式对外发布。欢迎大家建设开源项目。也请大家及时反馈错误信息，让属于大家的协同开发平台建设的更加完善。

开源、创业与商业化应用

- XOOPS 2006 北京主题聚会

近期，基于web 2.0的创业话题不断升温，越来越多具有行业背景知识的人有创业的想法苦于没有相关的网站建设能力或没有足够资金聘用网站开发人员，而完全免费开源的XOOPS系统正满足了这快速增长的需求。

同时，随着开源自由软件系统和开源社区的日益成熟，以XOOPS为代表的开源WEB CMS系统由于其所具有的商业CMS所缺乏的特质，开始进入商业用户的视野并被应用于严肃的商业应用领域。

如何使用XOOPS建立创新企业的商务站点、成功或创业人士的个人或社区网站，如何让XOOPS成为创业团队的有力工具，如何看待并协调处理作为自由软件的XOOPS与商业应用之间的关系，正成为人们日益关注的话题。

2006年6月25日，由开源项目XOOPS中文社区举办了主题为“开源、创业与商业化应用”“XOOPS 2006 北京主题聚会”，在海淀区中关园第九空间酒吧举行，来自北大、清华、人大、北航、中科院等单位的XOOPS开发者和用户参加了本次聚会，远道而来的XOOPS用户、PHP爱好者、WEB 2.0创业者等到会作了演讲和讨论。

会议由来自中科院软件所的梁爽和XOOPS项目的姜太文主持，分为技术开发、商业应用、创业实践三部分。姜太文首先作了“XOOPS, the Next Generation of Web CMS”的报告，介绍XOOPS项目的发展、在世界各地的应用、新版本的开发展望以及如何处理作为自由软件的XOOPS与商业化应用之间的问题。随后北大的胡争辉根据目前主持的项目，作了技术性的演讲“基于smarty的软件工程诱导实验框架”，介绍了smarty的应用模式和软件工程管理的一些知识经验。

在XOOPS定制与应用研讨中，毕业自清华的fragttdg以实例作"XOOPS BLOCKS CUSTOMIZATION AND LAYOUT"的主题演讲，向大家传授如何应用XOOPS强大的后台和区块管理设计建设一个功能强大、界面令人耳目一新的宝宝社区网站 http://yiyya.com 。XOOPS CHINA的李正城则根据自己在开发XOOPS商业网站中的经验，介绍了将XOOPS区块管理进行模块化、可视化处理的工作，适合于大型网站管理员与编辑角色分离的模式。

蓝竹创投是由CNET创立者等最近创办的媒体公司，他们经过缜密的调研比较，决定采用XOOPS系统作为该公司的产品开发平台。副总裁孙谦先生介绍了他们采用XOOPS开发的 http://6xue.info 等一系列商业网站。据他介绍，该公司的在开源与商业应用双赢模式中的尝试与经验已经引起国内外媒体比如INFOWORLD、NETWORKWORLD、光明日报、中国青年报等的广泛关注。

最具影响力的中文3S(GPS, RS, GIS)社区与资讯平台3sNews的创始人JASON先生也介绍了创业团队艰难曲折的CMS选择之路，作为完全不懂WEB开发技术的媒体创业团队，几经周折他们最终选择了功能强大、社区活跃的XOOPS并实现了网站架构和电子期刊的管理 -“因为Xoops，3sNews更精彩”。

北航在读研究生张博目前是一个环保类创业团队的负责人，他详细介绍了自己团队的创业理念、发展模式和前景展望，与会的其它创业团队与其作了热烈的探讨并分享创业体验。

聚会还讨论了XOOPS首届开发与应用年会的筹备事宜，XOOPS CHINA管理团队之一、中国人民大学在读博士生陈伟同学介绍了年会的计划。据他介绍，该年会计划于2006年10月份举办，邀请XOOPS项目开发人员、中文社区XOOPS用户、国内外开源社区著名人士等与会。随后与会人员共同讨论了年会的议程，并成立了年会筹备组讨论相关具体问题。

本次聚会得到了水木社区、PHPCHINA.CN等网站和社区的大力支持。

An eXtensible Multi-language content and character encoding Management Module+Hack
Multilanguage management handles displaying contents of different languages, like English, French and Chinese
Character encoding management handles contents of different encoding sets for one language, like GB2312 (Chinese Simplified) and BIG5 (Chinese Traditional) for Chinese.


What xlanguage CAN do:
1 displaying content of specified language based on user's dynamic choice
2 converting content from one character encoding set to another


What xlanguage canNOT do:
1 xlanguage does NOT have the ability of translating content from one language to another one. You have to input contents of various languages by yourself
2 xlanguage does NOT work without adding one line to XOOPS/include/common.php (see guide below)
3 xlanguage does NOT have the ability of converting content from one character encoding to another if none of "iconv", "mb_string" or "xconv" is available.

1 auto-detection of visitor's language on his first visitor
2 memorizing users' langauge preferences
3 switching contents of different languges/encoding sets on-fly
4 supporting M-S-M mode for character encoding handler

Note:
M-S-M: Multiple encoding input, Single encoding storage, Multiple encoding output.
M-S-M allows one site to fit various users with different language character encoding usages. For example, a site having xlanguage implemented porperly allows users to input content either with GB2312, with BIG5 or UTF-8 encoding and to store the content into DB with specified encoding, for say GB2312, and to display the content either with GB2312, with BIG5 or with UTF-8 encoding.

2 该hack可以保存多个账户, 用户选择使用哪个账户登陆
3 如果不再保存某个账号，只需用该账号登陆一次且不保存密码

与 GIJOE 的自动登陆不同，只保存密码不自动登陆

1 password is saved with md5 on request and will not be displayed on pages so there is no security concern when the page is cached.
2 multi-account applicable and you can choose the account to use
3 to remove an account from save list, just login without "save password"

1 download the savepassword.zip file
2 uncompress and upload the files/folders in the savepassword folder to the xoops root folder
3 update the system module
