The XOOPS Core Development Team is happy to announce XOOPS 2.0.9.2

This version fixes a number of bugs introduced in the 2.0.9 and 2.0.9.1 releases, and upgrading to the latest version is highly recommended.

You can find the full versions of XOOPS 2.0.9.2 here.
Patches from older versions to 2.0.9.2 can be found here.
Those who have already upgraded to 2.0.9.1 can simply overwrite their XOOPS with the files included in 2.0.9_to_2.0.9.2. However there might be some minor problems with the uploader and the block administration. If you do have problems with them, you can do the following:

Uploader problem: apply the patch posted by Mith on this thread or simply replace class/uploader.php with the one included in 2.0.9.

Block administration problem: edit and save all your blocks. If you have already done that when upgrading to 2.0.9.1, I am afraid you would need to that again.

-- 论坛普通用户: 如果你在使用IE浏览器时非法关闭，请在编辑时选用简洁模式。或使用firefox浏览器

The Mozilla Foundation today released Firefox 1.0, the first major new product release since the Mozilla Suite's 1.0 in June of 2002. Firefox 1.0 is the completion of roughly 2 years of work on the revolutionary new browser, which has raised the Mozilla Foundation's profile greatly in its year of existance. The release follows up the hugely successful Preview Release which had over eight million downloads.

Included in the release is a new start page which was formulated from user research including the home page poll taken here. Futhermore, the release will feature over a dozen localized builds released at the same time as the main English build, a first for the Foundation. In coming days, the Foundation expects at least a dozen more to be available.

newBB2最终版即将发布，现特征集newBB2宣传语，让更多的人分享和了解newBB2,希望宣传语能够有创意、上口、吸引人，中文和英文皆可。



关于XOOPS NewBB2.0 的开发

XOOPS 的论坛模块 newbb1.0一段时间以来是xoops中一个比较薄弱的环节。NewBB 1.0是基于phpbb1.4修改而来，具有了论坛的基本功能，但是显得过于单薄。

NewBB 2.0 的开发从今年年初启动，大致在5月份出过beta1/2后停滞了一段时间。从7月中开始，开发工作重新开始，代码基本上重写。经过4个多月的开发测试，最终版即将发布。

以 XOOPS 核心为依托，参考当前主流论坛程序的特点，NewBB 2.0 OO程度高，功能完善，可扩展性强。一些主要功能特征:

1 权限等级设置细致详尽: 浏览、发帖、编辑、回复、删除、投票、评分、积分、精华、文摘、审核、举报
2 相关功能: 多级论坛、投票、附件及显示、精华帖定期发送、生成PDF、RSS、可选择的媒体播放、下拉菜单、button格式选择
3 与其他模块的关联: 目前新闻管理News和文章管理wfsection已经可以直接在NewBB相应版面关联讨论；NewBB 帖子转换成FAQ/文章的功能将在下个版本实施
4 终端用户可选择多个编辑器: 普通文本编辑框、DHTML、SPAW Editor、Koivi Editor、FCKeditor
